First off check the PCV system, make sure the valve is clean and has manifold vacuum, then check the PCV system filter and hoses, make sure they are clean and open and the hose hasn't collapsed. If all of that checks good and you still have oil then a cylinder pressure test is the next order of the day, this will tell you if the rings are allowing too much pressure by during the compression stroke, this increases crankcase pressures and lifts oil into the crankcase vent ares. In other words a worn out engine.
