The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid marked a significant departure from its predecessors with a more assertive and truck-like design. It was longer and wider, giving it a muscular stance. It featured a new, larger grille that blended with the distinctive stack headlights and daytime running lights. The rear fascia had redesigned inner taillight elements, and the Rogue SV grade got new 18-inch wheels, while the Platinum grade received 19-inch wheels with a machined finish. The Platinum trim also included more black exterior trim and an optional black roof. Inside, the Rogue Platinum boasted a more premium feel with leather seats, quilted stitching, and new materials on nearly every surface.

The 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid offered a simplified powertrain lineup, with buyers choosing between a turbocharged or hybrid powertrain. The hybrid setup combined a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a two-motor hybrid-electric system, producing 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. This made it the most powerful CR-V to date, capable of traveling up to 115 mph and towing up to 1,000 lbs. A new "B" shifter position allowed for increased regenerative braking, enhancing fuel efficiency. The front-wheel-drive CR-V Hybrid achieved 43 mpg city, 36 highway, and 40 combined.

The 2024 Nissan Rogue's powertrain was a standout feature, with a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine capable of varying its compression ratio for power or fuel economy. The 2024 Nissan Rogue offered nearly identical passenger space to its competitors, with slight differences in legroom. It had 36.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats in place and 74.1 cubic feet with them folded, less than the CR-V or Tucson but more than the Forester. The optional Divide-N-Hide system allowed for flexible cargo storage, and the Rogue was available with a power liftgate and motion-activated liftgate. The center console featured a pass-through space and a storage tray at floor level, though it was somewhat awkward to reach.
