2022 Nissan Rogue Reviews Summary

The 2022 Nissan Rogue is a two-row crossover compact SUV with frameless, unibody construction, riding on a platform that was all-new for 2021 and shared with the soon-to-arrive next-generation Mitsubishi Outlander. It comes with front-wheel drive (FWD) or available all-wheel drive (AWD) and in four trim levels. FWD prices start at $26,700 and go up to $36,480 (plus options), equating to a $650 increase for FWD models and $750 increase for AWD models compared to the 2021 model year. Adding all-wheel drive costs $1,500 on any trim level. And those prices include a new, more powerful engine and a new transmission. At 33 mpg combined, the 2022 Rogue is the current leader in its non-hybrid compact crossover SUV class.

2023 Nissan Ariya Reviews Summary

By 2023, it should be clear that electric vehicles are here to stay. Companies that got started early on EVs have a head start, and when considering the current era of electric mobility, no major automaker got out of the starting blocks faster than Nissan. The 2010 Nissan Leaf invited the masses to experience quiet, efficient motoring—but in the decade-plus since its debut, it has been caught by more impressive competition.

The all-new 2023 Nissan Ariya aims to retake market share in the electric vehicle space. With front- and all-wheel-drive powertrain options, slick design, immersive technology, and a competitive price tag, the Ariya looks capable of putting Nissan back into the EV conversation. We tested a single-motor Ariya in the fall of 2022 and have since evaluated the dual-motor e-4ORCE model for this updated review.

2023 Nissan Ariya

8/10

The 2022 Nissan Rogue continued to build on its established reputation as a top-selling compact crossover. With a design that matured over the years, the Rogue showcased a more sophisticated exterior, featuring Nissan’s V-motion grille, multi-level LED headlights, and a sleek floating roof design. Inside, the Rogue offered a layered dash with contrasting colors and surfaces, creating a refined and detailed look. The center console was a standout feature, with an electronic gear selector that freed up space, and a 9-inch infotainment display positioned for optimal driver visibility. The Zero Gravity front seats provided comfort, while the spacious second row accommodated passengers with ample legroom.

In contrast, the 2023 Nissan Ariya embraced a modern and striking design, setting itself apart from traditional gas-powered SUVs. The Ariya’s exterior was characterized by smooth, oval shapes and minimal horizontal lines, with thin LED headlights and a unique rear design. Inside, the Ariya boasted a beautifully crafted interior with minimal hard plastics and dual 12-inch monitors for driver information and infotainment. The absence of a transmission tunnel contributed to an open and airy cabin, while the range of trim levels offered various features and configurations. Despite some ergonomic quirks, the Ariya’s interior was a testament to Nissan’s commitment to innovative design.

Higher trims, like the Platinum+ AWD, boasted dual motors with 389 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque, achieving 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds. The Ariya’s steering was quick and direct, and its suspension provided a comfortable ride.
