2022 INFINITI QX60 Reviews Summary

The 2022 Infiniti QX60 is a premium midsize three-row crossover SUV with front-wheel drive (FWD) or available all-wheel drive (AWD). Slotting into the Infiniti SUV lineup between the two-row QX50 and the full-size three-row QX80, the QX60 aims at the “just right” area of the market with a healthy dose of luxury, technology, and driving satisfaction.

2022 Lincoln Navigator Reviews Summary

Sometimes, only a full-size SUV will do. Among the handful of large luxury models available, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator stands apart with its classically elegant design, robust towing capacity, and soothing comfort in all three rows of seats.

For the 2022 Navigator, Lincoln makes numerous changes to update the SUV’s styling, comfort, technology, safety, and driving dynamics. To experience the changes first-hand, we headed to Scottsdale, Arizona following a cold snap of winter weather. In short, the facelift has revived the aging Navigator, keeping it competitive against newer rivals.

2022 INFINITI QX60

7/10

2022 Lincoln Navigator

8/10

Infiniti gave the QX60 a complete makeover for the 2022 model year, including a new exterior design, a new interior, new powertrains, and new technologies. These elements of the redesign paralleled similar updates to the QX60's Nissan cousin, the Pathfinder—both SUVs used the Nissan D platform. The new QX60 marked the start of the crossover’s second generation of production, featuring a dramatic, attractive exterior with a prominent grille, slim LED headlights, and oversized air intakes. The long hood and steeply-raked windshield conveyed elegance, while the roof appeared to float above the cabin, thanks to blacked-out pillars. The rear elevation was tasteful, with "INFINITI" spelled out in chrome letters across the liftgate.

Inside, the QX60 felt wide and open, with horizontal lines and layers emphasizing this feeling. The Autograph trim level featured quilted leather upholstery on the seats and dash, adding a touch of luxury. The 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display was perfectly placed to keep the driver’s eyes close to the road, and the TFT instrument panel delivered crisp graphics. The hard buttons and controls in the center console were simple, intuitive, and easy to master. The QX60 models for the U.S. market originated at the Nissan plant in Smyrna, Tennessee, displaying a high level of craftsmanship and build quality.

Lincoln made subtle styling changes to the 2022 Navigator, including new headlights and taillights, different wheel designs, and an updated Lincoln Embrace nighttime welcome illumination sequence. The front end was restyled, featuring an Audi-esque grille with the Lincoln star and chrome detailing. While the new grille design was less elegant than before, the rest of the Navigator’s updates for 2022 were successful.

Inside, the Navigator continued to dazzle with quality materials and mid-century modern design, now featuring Lincoln’s Constellation instrumentation and infotainment display theme. The new Sync 4 infotainment system with a 13.2-inch touchscreen display offered ample display acreage, keeping the Navigator competitive in the screen size race. The Navigator was available in standard and long-wheelbase styles with Standard, Reserve, and Black Label trim levels. The Black Label trim featured a luxurious Central Park theme with a green interior and second-row heated, ventilated, and massaging captain’s chairs.

2022 INFINITI QX60

7/10

2022 Lincoln Navigator

8/10

The 2022 INFINITI QX60 featured a nine-speed automatic transmission, replacing the outgoing CVT, which significantly improved the driving experience. The new transmission shifted cleanly and crisply, enhancing acceleration and deceleration. The familiar 3.5-liter V6 engine produced 295 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, with fuel economy estimates of 21 mpg city/26 mpg highway/23 mpg combined for FWD models and 20 mpg city/25 mpg highway/22 mpg combined for AWD models. The reworked suspension, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, and rack-mounted electric power steering assist provided a smooth, serene ride, with generous leg and headroom in the second and third rows.

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator retained its twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, producing 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Navigator’s towing capacity ranged between 8,100 and 8,700 pounds, depending on wheelbase and drivetrain selections. The updated adaptive-damping suspension with Road Preview and the new electronic brake booster improved ride quality and brake response. The Navigator’s 4WD system, 9.7 inches of ground clearance, and appropriate driving modes handled snow and mud with ease. The Navigator 4WD had an EPA fuel economy estimate of 18 mpg combined, and during testing, it averaged 18.6 mpg.
