This engine provided substantial power for the car’s size, particularly excelling at higher speeds with the turbo fully engaged. The optional lowered suspension transformed the CLA into an agile driver's car.

Its light but sophisticated steering and supple cornering abilities made it an enjoyable car to drive without sacrificing everyday usability.
