Used 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid for Sale near Rhode Island

How much does the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid cost?

Prices are up 1.11% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 4,462 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and the expert rating is 6.3/10. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the smooth ride, impressive fuel economy, and spacious interior. That lines up well with the overview, which points to strong comfort, easy everyday livability, and straightforward usability.

The main trade-offs are that the interior is not the most refined and the cargo area is smaller than average. Even so, the RAV4 Hybrid fits you well if you want efficiency and comfort in a practical SUV rather than the most polished cabin in the class.

Good and great deals account for 37.6% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a practical, solid choice with a smooth ride and impressive fuel economy, and it also describes the SUV as dependable for everyday use. The expert summary reinforces that it is a solid choice in its class, with pleasant driving characteristics and high levels of comfort.

The cost-effectiveness notes also support long-term ownership confidence by showing that the hybrid’s fuel savings can add up over time. For used buyers, the main risk is less about outright reliability and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and hasn’t picked up avoidable wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, even when the market looks clean, because accident-free status does not replace a proper inspection. Focus on how the hybrid system, cabin materials, and cargo area have held up, since those are the areas most likely to shape your day-to-day satisfaction. A pre-purchase inspection is especially useful if you want to confirm that the vehicle’s comfort, tech, and safety systems are all working as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model and the new Woodland trim leave out the leather-wrapped steering wheel and use a urethane wheel and center armrest, while most other trims add a leather covering. That makes the lower trims feel less upscale in the places you touch most often.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor/generator, a CVT, and all-wheel drive from a second rear electric motor. It makes 219 horsepower and reaches 60 mph in 7.5 seconds, with the suspension tuned for calm, confident everyday driving rather than sportiness.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a traffic sign reader. The XLE adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alerts, while the Limited adds front and rear parking proximity sensors with automatic braking when backing up.
• Infotainment: Most trims use an 8.0-inch touchscreen, while higher trims upgrade to a 10.5-inch display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, over-the-air updates are supported, and a Wi-Fi hotspot is offered.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 41 mpg city and 38 mpg highway, with 40 mpg combined for most RAV4 Hybrids. The Woodland model drops to 37 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is offered in 1 trim level: LE.

Here's the short version:

LE: This is the trim to focus on if you want the RAV4 Hybrid’s core strengths at the lowest entry point. You still get the hybrid powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the fuel economy that makes this model appealing in the first place. If you want the best value, this is the trim that gives you the essential package without pushing you into higher-priced equipment you may not need.

The standard safety package is a strong starting point, and the higher trims add useful extras like blind-spot monitoring and parking sensors.
