About 2023 Lexus ES
Overview

Few vehicles have come to define the comfort and efficiency of the modern midsize luxury sedan like the 2023 Lexus ES. The five-passenger sedan provides spacious seating and top-notch fit and finish.
What’s New for the 2023 Lexus ES
The Lexus ES was completely redesigned for the 2019 model year, and Lexus refreshed the sedan’s styling for 2022. For 2023, the ES receives an updated touchscreen infotainment system.
Design
They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, and that could be true of the aggressively styled 2023 ES. Its sharp lines and menacing headlights might suggest this is a sporty vehicle, but the ES errs on the comfortable side, including a soft, refined ride.
Powertrain
There are two models offered for 2023, the ES 250 and ES 350. The ES 250 comes equipped with a 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, while the ES 350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 302 horsepower. The ES 250 routes power to all-wheel drive (AWD) and the ES 350 routes power to front-wheel drive (FWD). Both vehicles come equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Interior
The 2023 Lexus ES is available in Standard, F Sport, Luxury, and Ultra Luxury trims. Standard equipment on the ES includes dual-zone automatic climate control, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Moving up to the F-Sport trim adds sporty exterior design elements, a sport steering wheel, sport seats, and a sport-tuned suspension. The Luxury trim incorporates the styling elements of the F-Sport, and it also adds ambient cabin lighting, a power rear sunshade, premium leather upholstery, and 14-way power-adjustable front seats. The range-topping Ultra Luxury trim gains many of the optional driver-assistance features plus navigation and manual rear-side window sun shades.
The Lexus ES comes equipped with 13.9 cubic feet of cargo space. A hands-free power trunk lid is a standalone option on most trims and comes standard on the Ultra-Luxury model.
Technology
The standard infotainment system in the ES is accessed through an 8-inch touchscreen. Shoppers can also select an available 10.25-inch touchscreen. Both come equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. The ES comes standard with a 10-speaker Pioneer stereo system. A 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium stereo system is available.
Safety
The Lexus ES comes equipped with a long list of standard driver-assistance features. This includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision avoidance, cyclist and pedestrian detection, traffic-sign recognition, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. It also comes with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Available safety tech includes front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree parking monitor, rain-sensing wipers, and a head-up display.
Pricing
As of this writing, the 2023 Lexus ES has a base MSRP of $42,590. The F Sport trim starts at $47,195, the Luxury trim starts at 47,760, and the Ultra Luxury starts at $51,380. The ES is backed by a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Downsized from BMW 540i for more comforts but still decent pop/handling. ALL main cabin features of BMW transferred to Lexus ES though some learning on new systems will be required. Great the control pad on the console has been replaced in 2023. Saved roughly $20K upfront with Lexus plus more ongoing with regular, not premium, fuel. ES hybrid would have saved even more ongoing but I was not ready to take that drastic of a performance drop yet.

This was the second time we purchased a Lexus ES 350 because there’s just NO Better Car Out There! The perfect combination of Safety, Economy & Luxury all wrapped into one beautiful car! There are, of course, many safety features; everything from key controlled alarm systems, maps & voice directions to state of the art braking systems! You get better than expected miles per gallon, and the value of these cars do not depreciate quickly! And the comfort; you don’t feel bumps in the road - shocks are outstanding ! Not only do they have heated seats to keep you warm in winter - they also have cooling seats to kept you cool in the summer! Multiple body positioning options - including lower back support is comfortable beyond belief! And there is oh so much more! With plush body style and rare color mixes like “Midnight Blue” & “Champaigne,” they are really lovely vehicles to look at! Once you drive a Lexus ES - No Other Car Will Do!

I was looking at the Lexus model ES and comparing the 300H to the 350. It came down to both having everything I wanted. I chose the 350 because I dont drive enough to warrant a Hybrid. It was the only car I was considering. The only thing I didnt like was the remote start. The app will start it, but you cant choose to heat or cool the car. You are stuck with whatever its set at when you last left the vehicle. It also turns off when you open the door. My last vehicle gave you options and stayed running, which is especially good on 113 degree days.

Car was worth the value (plus I still bargained for more discounts). It was the proper upgrade from my 2014 Avalon, and I plan on having this for the longest.
