Used 2023 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2023 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices are up 2.13% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,405 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, fun driving experience, and strong value. They also call out the ample legroom and trunk space, which helps the car feel more usable than its muscle-car image might suggest.

The trade-offs are familiar for this kind of car: poor fuel economy and outdated technology. The overview also frames it as a final-year, high-attitude sendoff, so you’re buying into style and character as much as everyday practicality.

Good and great deals account for 30.8% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car that feels strong, fun, and satisfying to live with, and it also highlights the Challenger’s strong value. That combination usually matters when you’re trying to judge whether a used car will keep making sense after the novelty wears off.

The expert evaluation also describes the Challenger as a time capsule that has held onto its identity, which supports the idea that it delivers a consistent ownership experience rather than a constantly changing one. The maintenance burden should still be weighed against its age, performance focus, and fuel appetite, especially if you plan to keep it for the long haul.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear from hard driving, because this model’s performance character can invite more aggressive use than average. Pay close attention to overall condition, since the car’s age and powertrain make maintenance history especially important.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Black Ghost stands out with Pitch Black paint, white rear fender graphics, a “gator skin” roof graphic, chrome exterior details, premium Laguna semi-aniline leather upholstery, simulated suede trim, and genuine carbon fiber accents. It is the most distinctive and best-equipped version described here, while the broader lineup is presented as a final-year special-edition sendoff with limited-production models.
• Powertrain: The Black Ghost uses a high-output supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 807 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. The performance notes emphasize relentless acceleration, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a chassis that still rides and handles better than you might expect for its age.
• Safety package: The Black Ghost includes a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable on this version.
• Infotainment: The Uconnect 4C system uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and it includes wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming audio, a six-month SiriusXM trial, navigation, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert testing notes 15 mpg in combined driving, and the same evaluation says the car averaged 15.7 mpg on a testing loop.

Which 2023 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger is offered in 1 trim level: Black Ghost.

Here's the short version:

The Black Ghost is the one to buy if you want the most distinctive final-year Challenger experience and you value rarity, visual drama, and maximum character over practicality. It layers on the strongest performance and the richest interior details described in the data, so it suits you best if you want the Challenger as a collectible-style muscle car rather than a simple commuter.

The safety package is limited, and advanced driver-assistance features are not standard on this version.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when the right car appears.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,405 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.13% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 81.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,195, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $42,288 sits slightly above last year's $41,404.

That upward move suggests the market still places value on this model year, especially given its final-year status and enthusiast appeal. For a future seller, that can help support demand if your car is well kept and presented cleanly.

The year-round range also gives you a useful benchmark: if you buy near the low end and maintain the car carefully, you may have a better shot at preserving value. Rarity and strong enthusiast interest can help, but condition will matter a lot in a car like this.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger earns favorable ratings only in two outdated frontal- and side-impact tests from IIHS, and NHTSA gives the car high marks but hasn’t updated its crash-test standards in over a decade.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

The Challenger’s safety equipment is limited. The test car had a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable on the SRT Hellcat Redeye and, by extension, the Black Ghost.

That means you should not expect a broad modern driver-assistance suite here. If safety tech is a priority, this is a car where you need to be especially comfortable with the equipment that is and isn’t included.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.13% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The final-year setup gives you a rare, high-output sendoff with special-edition appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the last and most collectible version of the Challenger, the 2023 is the one to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can still find value in the market, but you should focus on condition, history, and whether the car’s limited safety tech fits your needs.
