You should prioritize a full history report, especially if the car has had multiple owners or any signs of inconsistent maintenance. Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.58% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,363, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $33,298 average.
• It leans hard into straight-line speed and muscle-car personality.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $42,288, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $33,298 average.
• It adds final-year special editions and more power.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around starting point if you want a strong mix of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you want to save money, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want a more collectible sendoff, the 2023 is the premium alternative.
