How much does the 2022 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices are up 2.25% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 1,746 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Ford Mustang earns a 4.78/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, handling, and styling, and many especially like the manual transmission and the fun driving experience it delivers. That makes it a strong fit if you want a sporty coupe or convertible with real enthusiast appeal and enough variety to suit different driving preferences. With 32.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.78/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that many drivers find dependable and enjoyable over time, especially when it has been maintained well. Because used examples can vary in condition and some buyers note concerns on specific models, your long-term ownership risk is tied closely to maintenance history and how carefully the car was driven and cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford Mustang?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of hard use, modifications, and uneven wear. Pay close attention to overall condition, because a sporty car like this can hide more abuse than a casual commuter. If possible, choose the cleanest-maintained example you can find rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right listing appears, but it still pays to be selective.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,746 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.25% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 76.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,450, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $34,194 sits slightly above last year's $33,441.

That upward movement suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The current pricing also shows that demand has held up well enough to keep values near the top of the year-round range. If you buy carefully and keep the car in strong condition, you should have a better chance of preserving value when it is time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.78/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.25% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.78/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,461, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $34,194 average.
• It adds the Mach 1 trim for shoppers who want more performance variety.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of demand, satisfaction, and inventory, the 2022 is the better primary choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
