How much does the 2022 BMW X6 cost?

Is the 2022 BMW X6 a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the 2022 BMW X6 backs that up with a style-first luxury SUV formula that emphasizes performance, upscale hardware, and a distinctive coupe-like shape. It offers strong six-cylinder and V8 powertrains, a high-end cabin with dual 12.3-inch displays, and a long list of available upgrades that make it feel more special than a conventional midsize luxury SUV. The tradeoff is that you’re choosing a vehicle that prioritizes design and driving character over maximum practicality. 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 BMW X6 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 BMW X6 is presented as a well-equipped, performance-oriented luxury SUV with strong hardware and a premium interior, which supports confidence if you want a vehicle that feels substantial and upscale. Its appeal comes from the combination of power, technology, and distinctive design rather than simplicity. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is accepting a specialized luxury SUV with compromises in practicality and operating costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 BMW X6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks the condition of the drivetrain, suspension, and electronics. Because this model leans heavily into luxury equipment and performance hardware, you’ll want to pay close attention to how well the vehicle has been maintained and whether all features work as intended. Condition matters especially here, since the X6’s appeal depends on its premium feel as much as its styling.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 BMW X6?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when the right listing appears.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 482 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,611, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 BMW X6's resale value?

The current average of $46,611 sits slightly below last year's $51,565.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may temper near-term resale upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation exposure. The X6’s distinctive styling and premium positioning can still support demand among shoppers who want something more specialized than a conventional SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 BMW X6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 BMW X6 makes the most sense if you want the newer-generation look, strong equipment, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2022 is the better fit when you want the updated styling and a solid mix of inventory and deal availability.
