How much does the 2023 BMW X6 cost?

Prices have softened 12.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 541 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 BMW X6 a good car?

The 2023 BMW X6 stands out because it blends the practicality of a midsize luxury SUV with the lower, more dramatic shape of a crossover coupe. In BMW’s own terms, the X6 adds a sportier feel than the mechanically similar X5 by pairing the same technology, interiors, and options with more aggressive hardware and styling.

For 2023, that means a lowered stance, a sleeker roofline, huge wheels, and a more assertive body kit, along with a wider grille and other exterior details that emphasize its performance-oriented character. Standard equipment is generous, including a panoramic moonroof, two 12.3-inch displays, navigation, adaptive LED headlights, blind-spot monitors, forward emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and heated front seats.

The tradeoffs are part of the X6’s identity. BMW’s own buying guide notes that the model has poor cargo space and poor fuel economy, so you should think of it as a style- and performance-first luxury SUV rather than a maximum-utility choice. Even so, 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

For long-term ownership, you should plan for a premium SUV ownership experience, where maintenance and repair costs can be more consequential if the vehicle has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or incomplete repairs. Focus on condition details that matter most on a luxury SUV like this, especially bodywork, wheels, tires, and interior wear, since those can reveal how carefully the previous owner maintained it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X6?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 541 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $51,802, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X6's resale value?

The current average of $51,815 sits slightly below last year's $59,208.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the X6’s value will likely depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well it has been maintained. Because this is a premium SUV with a more specialized body style, clean history and strong presentation should matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.49% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2023 BMW X6 makes the most sense if you want the model’s distinctive styling, strong standard equipment, and a market that currently favors buyers more than sellers. If you’re price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years to see whether a newer or older X6 gives you a better mix of price and condition, but the 2023 is a solid primary target if you want to shop the current market with some leverage.
