Used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette cost?

Prices have softened 5.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,233 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare before you buy.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the car’s powerful performance, stunning looks, and strong value for money. They also describe it as the best version yet, which reinforces its appeal if you want a Corvette that feels special without supercar pricing.

The trade-offs are more practical than emotional: the cabin could be more user-friendly, and the car strays a bit from the traditional Corvette identity. That said, the overview makes clear this model is aimed at you if you value style, performance, and open-air driving more than maximum practicality.

With 36.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter most to enthusiasts: strong performance, lasting appeal, and a reputation that leaves owners extremely impressed. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Corvette is a brilliantly engineered machine, which supports confidence in how it should hold up over time.

The cost-effectiveness commentary adds another ownership perk: for just over $61,000 including destination charges, you get a lot of performance for the money. That kind of value can make long-term ownership feel easier to justify.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about the car’s core appeal and more about how hard it may have been driven and how well it was maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified or tracked. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and signs of hard use, since this is a performance car that may have lived a more demanding life than an ordinary commuter.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim leaves out several visibility-enhancing features that are standard on higher trims, so you should pay close attention to equipment differences if you want the most usable daily-driver setup.
• Powertrain: The car uses a 6.2-liter V8 with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the performance package adds more power, a performance exhaust, adaptive dampers, performance brakes, a performance rear-axle ratio, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, heavy-duty cooling, and high-performance run-flat tires.
• Safety package: Teen Driver is standard, and Chevrolet Connected Services can add automatic collision notification and emergency calling. The visibility-enhancement features are limited to higher trims and include a front-facing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: You get an 8-inch touchscreen, an available head-up display on 2LT, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-phone Bluetooth pairing, and available navigation plus enhanced voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the provided data.

Which 2021 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• 1LT: This is the entry point if you want the Corvette experience at the lowest starting price, but you give up the higher-trim visibility upgrades that make the car easier to live with.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the head-up display and unlocks the visibility-enhancement features that matter in daily use.
• 3LT: Choose this if you want the most premium cabin experience and are willing to pay more for the top trim.

The visibility-enhancement features are restricted to the 2LT and 3LT trims, so those are the trims to target if safety and everyday usability matter most.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Chevrolet Corvette?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,233 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $63,350, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $63,350 sits slightly below last year's $67,200.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what a future seller can ask in the near term. Even so, the Corvette’s strong desirability and performance reputation should help it remain appealing to shoppers who want a special sports car without supercar pricing.

Because the year’s average is still well supported by demand, resale should remain relatively resilient if the car is kept in strong condition and documented well.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevrolet includes Teen Driver technology, which lets you monitor how a paired key fob is used and review a report card of driving behavior. Chevrolet Connected Services can also add automatic collision notification and emergency calling.

The main caveat is that advanced driver-assistance systems are not part of the package. It does not offer adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, or Super Cruise hands-free cruise control. Visibility-enhancing features are also limited to higher trims.

Should I buy a 2021 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong performance, standout styling, and excellent value for money.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $62,237, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $63,350 average.
• It introduced the mid-engine redesign and brought supercar-like performance at a much lower price.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $66,859, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $63,350 average.
• It adds minor updates, new colors, and keeps the same trim structure with available Z51 performance upgrades.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, performance, and market availability, the 2021 is the smart default. If your priority is saving a bit more, the 2020 is the better price-first alternative. If you want the newer model-year option and are willing to pay more, the 2022 is the cleaner upgrade path.
