How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette cost?

Prices have softened 3.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,151 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its performance, stunning looks, and value as a near-supercar. The user feedback also highlights incredible handling, strong acceleration, and the modern mid-engine design.

The trade-offs are familiar for a car this focused: visibility is poor and cargo space is limited. That makes it best for you if you want a dramatic, high-performance sports car and can live with everyday compromises.

With 36.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback points to a car that feels dependable, trouble-free, and easy to count on when you want serious performance.

The expert review also emphasizes how well the Corvette’s powertrain and chassis work together, with strong performance and a driving experience that feels sorted and confidence-inspiring. Chevy also includes the first scheduled maintenance service for free, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about how the car was driven and maintained, so condition and service history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car with this much performance hardware. Focus on condition, signs of hard use, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim level you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Stingray 1LT Coupe is stripped down, while 2LT adds equipment many shoppers will want and 3LT brings a more upscale interior with Cadillac-grade leather and materials. The base trim also misses some of the convenience and visibility aids found higher up.
• Powertrain: You get a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, or 495 hp and 470 lb-ft with the Z51 Package or optional performance exhaust. The standard eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is the only transmission offered.
• Safety package: The Corvette includes a high-definition reversing camera, rear parking assist sensors, and Teen Driver technology. On 2LT and 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, OnStar connected services, WiFi, Amazon Alexa, and Bluetooth pairing. 2LT and 3LT add satellite radio, navigation, and a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Corvette returns 15 mpg city and 27 highway, with 19 combined.

Which 2020 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: Stingray 1LT Coupe, 2LT, 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• Stingray 1LT Coupe: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Corvette experience at the lowest price. It makes sense if you want the performance first and can live without the extra comfort and convenience features found higher up.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the equipment many buyers will actually use, including the head-up display and more safety tech. It also unlocks more of the Corvette’s everyday usability without pushing you all the way to the top trim.
• 3LT: Choose this if you want the most upscale cabin, with Cadillac-grade leather and materials, plus the fullest feature set. It suits you best if you care as much about interior quality and amenities as you do about performance.

For safety, 2LT and 3LT are the trims that add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,237, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $62,237 sits slightly below last year's $64,816.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the car is kept and how desirable the trim and condition are when you sell. A well-maintained Corvette with the right equipment should still attract strong interest because it offers serious performance and strong enthusiast appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is not for you if you want a car loaded with advanced driver-assistance systems. It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with a high-definition reversing camera, rear parking assist sensors, and Teen Driver technology. On 2LT and 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.

The big caveat is rear visibility, which is described as extremely poor, so the camera-based aids matter more here than they do in many other cars. If you want the most confidence-inspiring setup, you should look for a higher trim with the added safety equipment.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 stands out for its dramatic mid-engine redesign and near-supercar acceleration.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $63,350, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $62,237 average.
• It adds a convertible option for buyers who want a more visceral open-air experience.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest value and the most dramatic redesign story, the 2020 is the better starting point. If you’re willing to pay more for open-air driving, the 2021 is the more specialized choice.
