Is the 2021 BMW 7 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2021 BMW 7 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a full-size luxury sedan that blends strong performance with a long history of technology leadership, and it emphasizes a deeply upscale cabin with a wide range of modern features. It also stands out for offering multiple powertrain choices, so you can shop for a version that leans more toward comfort, efficiency, or outright power. With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful value to be found if you shop carefully.

Is the 2021 BMW 7 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests a car built around advanced technology, a broad powertrain lineup, and a premium cabin, which can be appealing if you want a flagship sedan with a lot of capability. At the same time, its complexity and high-end equipment mean you should expect ownership to reward careful maintenance and thorough pre-purchase vetting.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 BMW 7 Series?

At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, suspension behavior, and signs of uneven wear or poor repair quality. Because this is a complex luxury sedan, condition matters more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 542 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,326, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $37,632 sits slightly below last year's $41,485.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you're planning to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing discipline matters: a well-kept example with desirable equipment should be easier to move than one priced above the market. The model's broad appeal as a flagship luxury sedan can still support demand, especially when the car presents well and has a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.29% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2021 if you want the strongest mix of value, inventory, and owner satisfaction in this range. If your priority is simply the lowest possible entry price, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2021 stands out as the better all-around shopping target when you want a flagship luxury sedan with meaningful market softness behind it.
