Used 2020 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearTrenton, NJ

How much does the 2020 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 9.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,142 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare on price and condition.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.71/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its smooth driving experience, comfort, and spacious cargo area. They also highlight its safety features and reliability, which help explain the strong satisfaction score. In practical terms, this is the kind of minivan that makes sense if you value space, family usefulness, and confidence on the road more than flash.

The main trade-offs are the pricing and the lack of certain automated features on lower-end models. The Sienna is especially appealing if you need room for people and gear, and its all-wheel-drive availability adds extra appeal for all-weather family use. With 33.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe the Sienna as reliable and appreciate its trouble-free, dependable feel over time. The expert evaluation also points to a minivan that inspires confidence for everyday family duty, with strong practicality and a setup built for long-term use. Toyota’s standard safety and convenience features add to that sense of durability and peace of mind.

If you’re buying used, the biggest long-term ownership risk is choosing a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history matter more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Sienna?

At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has been in any prior collision. Focus on body condition, alignment, interior wear, and how well the sliding doors, liftgate, and cabin electronics operate. Because this model is often bought for family duty, signs of heavy use can matter as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base L comes relatively well equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, WiFi hotspot, and Apple CarPlay, but it lacks some of the convenience upgrades found higher up. The LE adds dual power sliding doors, easy-clean upholstery, and family-friendly touches, while the SE adds a power rear liftgate, heated front seats, and leather upholstery. The SE Premium, XLE, XLE Premium, Limited, and Limited Premium add progressively more comfort and convenience, with the Limited and Limited Premium bringing the most upscale cabin features.
• Powertrain: All trims use a 3.5-liter V6 with 296 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque paired with an 8-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and AWD is available on all trims except the base L. FWD returns 19 mpg city, 26 highway, and 21 combined, while AWD returns 18/24/20.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense (TSS-P) is standard and includes lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning and avoidance with pedestrian detection, dynamic cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is optional on lower trims and standard on XLE and Limited.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets the same 7-inch touchscreen, with Toyota’s infotainment software, Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, five USB ports, and a WiFi hotspot. There is no larger screen on higher trims, but upper trims add features such as navigation, JBL audio, and Driver Easy Speak.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD model returns 19 mpg city, 26 highway, and 21 combined, while AWD versions return 18/24/20. In testing, combined fuel economy came in at 18.3 mpg.

Which 2020 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Sienna is offered in 8 trim levels: L, LE, SE, SE Premium, XLE, XLE Premium, Limited, and Limited Premium.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the value entry point if you want the Sienna’s core strengths at the lowest price. You still get the 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, WiFi hotspot, and a well-equipped cabin, but you give up some of the family-friendly convenience features found higher up.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds dual power sliding doors, easy-clean upholstery, and useful family features without jumping too far in price. If you want a practical minivan for kids and daily use, this is the trim to target first.
• SE: This is the CarGurus-recommended trim. It adds 19-inch wheels, a mesh grille, fog lights, heated front seats, leather upholstery, sport instrumentation, and a power rear liftgate, making it the strongest blend of style and everyday usefulness.
• SE Premium: Choose this if you want the SE’s equipment plus a power moonroof, DVD entertainment system, EasySpeak intercom, and extra visual upgrades. It makes sense if rear-seat entertainment matters to your family.
• XLE: This trim leans more toward comfort, with leather-trimmed seating, heated front seats, an upgraded instrument panel, woodgrain accents, and one-touch power windows. It’s a good fit if you want a more upscale cabin without going all the way to the top.
• XLE Premium: This adds more luxury and convenience on top of the XLE, making it a stronger pick if you want a richer feature set and plan to keep the van for a while.
• Limited: This is the most upscale mainstream choice, with leather front seats, leatherette second- and third-row seats, a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel, JBL premium audio, navigation, and extra storage solutions. It suits you if comfort and amenities matter most.
• Limited Premium: This is the top-end choice if you want the most equipment, including the DVD entertainment system, HID headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. It’s the trim to buy if you want the most fully loaded Sienna.

Blind-spot monitoring is standard on XLE and Limited trims, which is worth keeping in mind if safety convenience is a priority.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Sienna?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,142 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,097, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $26,097 sits slightly below last year's $28,874.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the van in strong condition, because a lower entry price can help preserve your ownership value if depreciation continues at a slower pace. Well-kept examples should remain appealing to shoppers who want space, safety, and all-wheel-drive availability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2020 Toyota Sienna earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and a Good rating from IIHS in many areas, including side crash, rollover crash, and moderate front overlap crash.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense (TSS-P) is standard and includes lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning and avoidance with pedestrian detection, dynamic cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is optional on lower trims and standard on XLE and Limited.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 stands out as the only minivan offering all-wheel drive, which is a rare advantage for family buyers.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $34,315, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $26,097 average.
• Toyota adds a hybrid powertrain and a major redesign.

The bottom line: If you want the lower purchase price, proven family utility, and available all-wheel drive, the 2020 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer design and hybrid efficiency, the 2021 is the better long-term alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 offers the stronger value proposition right now.
