Used 2020 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearAurora, IL

How much does the 2020 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 8.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,217 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth driving experience, comfort, and spacious cargo area, and they also value its safety features and reliability. That lines up with the Sienna’s role as a practical, space-focused minivan for buyers who need room for people and gear, plus all-weather capability. The main trade-offs are its dated cabin design and some pricing frustration, along with a lack of certain automated features on lower-end models. With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to reliability, dependability, and a trouble-free ownership experience, with many drivers saying they feel confident counting on it for daily family use. The expert evaluation also emphasizes its practical, durable character and its ability to serve as a long-term people-and-cargo hauler. The Sienna’s standard safety tech and straightforward mechanical setup support that reputation, and the available maintenance-friendly ownership experience adds to its appeal. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that condition can vary widely, so a careful inspection matters more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Toyota Sienna?

At 68.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on bodywork quality, steering feel, and interior wear, since those areas can reveal how the van was treated. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment carefully, because some lower trims leave out convenience and safety features that matter in family use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base L comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, a WiFi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and basic family-friendly equipment, while the LE adds dual power sliding doors, roof rails, easy-clean upholstery, and manual second- and third-row sunshades. The SE adds 19-inch wheels, fog lights, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and a power rear liftgate, which makes it the recommended value choice for many shoppers. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, but the lower trims are where you’ll feel the biggest feature gaps.
• Powertrain: Every trim uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 296 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and AWD is available on all trims except the base L; AWD versions are limited to the 7-passenger layout and trade away 8-passenger seating. The front-wheel-drive version returns the best fuel economy in the lineup at 19 mpg city, 26 highway, 21 combined.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense P is standard and includes lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning and avoidance with pedestrian detection, dynamic cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is optional on lower trims and standard on XLE and Limited.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is a 7-inch touchscreen with Toyota’s infotainment software, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, five USB ports, and a WiFi hotspot. The screen size does not increase on higher trims, but upper trims add features such as navigation, premium audio, and rear-seat entertainment.
• Fuel efficiency: The front-wheel-drive model returns 19 mpg city, 26 highway, and 21 combined, while AWD versions return 18/24/20.

Which 2020 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2020 Toyota Sienna is offered in 8 trim levels: L, LE, SE, SE Premium, XLE, XLE Premium, Limited, and Limited Premium.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the entry point, and it already gives you a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, a WiFi hotspot, and a solid set of family basics. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the Sienna, but you’ll miss some of the convenience features that make the van easier to live with.
• LE: This trim adds dual power sliding doors, roof rails, easy-clean upholstery, and manual sunshades, which makes it a smart step up for families with kids. It is the trim that most clearly improves day-to-day usability without pushing too far up the price ladder.
• SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a power rear liftgate, heated front seats, leather upholstery, and sportier visual touches. If you want the most useful mix of comfort and convenience, this is the one to target.
• SE Premium: This trim builds on the SE with a power moonroof, a DVD entertainment system, and the EasySpeak intercom system. It suits buyers who want more rear-seat entertainment and extra comfort features.
• XLE: This trim adds leather-trimmed seating, heated front seats, an upgraded instrument panel, woodgrain accents, and one-touch power windows. It is a good fit if you want a more upscale cabin without going all the way to the top trims.
• XLE Premium: This trim layers in more convenience and comfort equipment on top of the XLE, making it a stronger choice if you want a richer feature set and are willing to pay for it.
• Limited: This trim adds leather front seats, leatherette second- and third-row seats, a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel, a JBL premium audio system, and navigation. It is the right pick if you want the most upscale everyday experience.
• Limited Premium: This is the most fully equipped version, adding the DVD entertainment system, HID headlights, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Choose it if you want the most complete feature set and don’t mind paying for it.

Blind-spot monitoring is optional on lower trims and standard on XLE and Limited.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Toyota Sienna?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it rewards comparison shopping.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,217 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,171, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $26,388 sits slightly below last year's $28,968.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face some price pressure if the trend continues. If you buy at a disciplined price today, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The Sienna’s strong reputation for owner satisfaction helps support demand, especially among shoppers who value practicality and family utility.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2020 Toyota Sienna earns five out of five stars in crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) gives it the top score of Good in many areas, including side crash, rollover crash, and moderate front overlap crash.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense P is standard, and it includes lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning and avoidance with pedestrian detection, dynamic cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is optional on lower trims and standard on XLE and Limited. The main caveat is the Sienna’s twitchy steering, which makes those standard driver-assistance features especially valuable for keeping the van centered on the highway.

Should I buy a 2020 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers all-wheel drive, standard safety tech, and strong space-focused practicality.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $34,094, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $26,388 average.
• It brings a major redesign and a standard hybrid powertrain.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer design and hybrid efficiency, the 2021 is the upgrade path.
