How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban cost?

Prices have softened 17.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,725 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Suburbans to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spaciousness, smooth ride, and towing capability, and those strengths line up well with its role as a full-size SUV for family duty, cargo hauling, and trailer work. If you want one vehicle that can handle passengers and gear without losing the traditional big-SUV formula, this model year fits that use case well. With 32.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a dependable ownership experience for many buyers, with drivers highlighting its long-haul usefulness and capability. At the same time, some owners mention concerns about electronics, so you should pay close attention to how the cabin tech and controls operate during a test drive. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term risk is less about the core SUV formula and more about verifying that individual vehicle condition has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service history. Prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for electronics, interior functions, and any signs of wear that could be costly on a large SUV. Because this model is often used for family travel and towing, focus on overall condition, maintenance consistency, and how well the vehicle has been cared for over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Suburban?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,725 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 67.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,505, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban's resale value?

The current average of $25,505 sits slightly below last year's $30,950.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For future resale, the key question is how well your specific vehicle holds up in condition and mileage, since well-kept full-size SUVs tend to stay more appealing to shoppers who need space and towing ability. If you buy carefully now, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Suburban or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 67.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,191, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,505 average.
• It adds a new turbodiesel option for better fuel economy.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2020 if value matters most, because pricing has eased and the model still delivers the space and capability that define the Suburban. If you want the newer-year premium and the added diesel option, the 2021 is the better secondary path, but it asks for a much higher budget.
