Used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette cost?

Prices have softened 3.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,161 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 10/10 across Performance, Cost effectiveness, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its incredible handling, acceleration, and striking mid-engine design, along with its near-supercar value. The expert review also highlights its world-class pace and strong overall execution, while noting trade-offs such as poor visibility and limited cargo space. If you want a serious performance car that feels exotic without supercar pricing, this year’s Corvette fits that brief well. Good and great deals account for 33.3% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to enthusiasts, with praise centered on performance that owners feel confident living with over time.

The expert review reinforces that impression by describing the Corvette as a car that delivers its performance with impressive composure and predictable behavior. Chevy also includes the first scheduled maintenance service for free, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical confidence and more about whether the car was driven and maintained carefully given its high-performance nature.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of hard use, curb damage, and wear on the interior and exterior. Because this Corvette is a performance car with limited visibility and low-slung packaging, condition matters as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Stingray 1LT Coupe is stripped down, while 2LT adds equipment many shoppers will want and 3LT upgrades the cabin with Cadillac-grade leather and richer materials. The 2LT and 3LT also add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.
• Powertrain: A naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 makes 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque in standard tune, and output rises to 495 hp and 470 lb-ft with the Z51 Performance Package or optional performance exhaust. The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission is standard, and the car offers multiple driving modes.
• Safety package: The Corvette includes a high-definition reversing camera, rear parking assist sensors, and Teen Driver technology. On 2LT and 3LT trims, you also get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, OnStar connected services, WiFi, Amazon Alexa, and Bluetooth pairing. Upgrade to 2LT or 3LT for satellite radio, navigation, and a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series premium audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Corvette is rated at 15 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

Which 2020 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: Stingray 1LT Coupe, 2LT, 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• Stingray 1LT Coupe: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Corvette experience at the lowest price. It makes sense if you care most about the drivetrain and want to keep the purchase price down, but it leaves out several comfort and convenience upgrades found higher up.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the equipment many buyers will actually want, including the head-up display and the safety upgrades tied to this trim. It also unlocks more of the Corvette’s tech and convenience appeal without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• 3LT: Choose this if you want the most upscale cabin, with Cadillac-grade leather and richer interior materials. It suits you best if you want the Corvette to feel as premium inside as it is fast outside.

The safety-package upgrades tied to 2LT and 3LT are the key trim-level differentiator to keep in mind.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Corvette?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing movement to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,161 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,471, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $62,471 sits slightly below last year's $64,896.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more carefully now. For a future seller, that also means resale will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Because this is a desirable performance model, clean examples should continue to attract attention, but heavily used or modified cars may not hold value as well.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette does not earn a broad advanced-driver-assistance reputation, but it does include useful standard safety equipment and optional visibility aids. It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety setup includes a high-definition reversing camera, rear parking assist sensors, and Teen Driver technology. If you move up to 2LT or 3LT, you also get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a curb-view camera system, and a rear camera mirror. The main caveat is that rear visibility is poor, so the added camera-based aids matter more here than they do in many other cars.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The mid-engine redesign delivers supercar-like performance at a far lower price than the outgoing ZR1.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $63,661, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $62,471 average.
• It adds a more convenient and thrilling convertible experience.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price, performance, and market availability, the 2020 is the better starting point. If you’re willing to pay more for the next year’s convertible appeal, the 2021 is the better fit.
