Used 2019 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearKalamazoo, MI

How much does the 2019 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 2.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,540 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Toyota Tundra earns a 4.64/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, space and comfort, and powerful towing capability. The review summary also points to a luxurious ride and a truck that feels solid and dependable for everyday use.

The trade-offs are familiar: the outdated technology and fuel economy draw criticism, and the expert review calls out the truck’s poor ergonomic design. That makes the Tundra a better fit if you want a straightforward, proven pickup rather than a tech-forward one.

For shoppers who want a no-nonsense truck with broad capability, the Tundra’s old-school formula still makes sense. It also has 31.4% good or great deals in the market, which gives you room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.64/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary describes the Tundra as reliable, and also highlights its solid and dependable character. The expert evaluation reinforces that theme by emphasizing V8 power with a broad, predictable power band and impressive durability and reliability.

The cost-effectiveness commentary also notes that the truck’s off-road-focused TRD Pro variant delivers a lot of capability for the money. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related wear and outdated systems may matter more than outright mechanical toughness.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

At 62.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, alignment, and repair quality. Because the truck’s age and market mix vary widely, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone. Pay close attention to how the truck drives, how the cabin has worn, and whether the equipment works as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR includes heated mirrors, a windshield wiper de-icer, a damped tailgate, an integrated trailer-brake controller, and a safety suite with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and auto high beams. The SR5 adds a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and traffic info, HD and satellite radio, foglights, and variable-intermittent windshield wipers. The Limited adds leather front bucket seats with power, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, dual-zone auto climate control, navigation, and auto headlights. The Platinum and 1794 Edition add luxury touches like a sunroof, heated and cooled front seats with driver memory, power side mirrors with auto dimming, an upgraded JBL stereo, and LED daytime running lights. The TRD Pro adds a raised suspension, off-road tires, forged BBS wheels, Fox shocks, a skid plate, and TRD-specific styling.
• Powertrain: You get a 4.6-liter V8 with 310 hp and 327 lb-ft of torque, or a larger 5.7-liter V8 with 71 more hp and 74 more lb-ft of torque. The smaller engine is rated at 15 mpg city, 19 highway, and 16 combined with RWD, while the 5.7-liter can return up to 13/18/15. The bigger engine also brings stronger payload and towing capability.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense-style equipment includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a drowsiness monitor. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is standard on most trims, but it is unavailable on the base SR and the TRD Pro.
• Infotainment: The base truck uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and a 6-speaker stereo with a CD player. The SR5 upgrades to a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and traffic info, plus HD and satellite radio. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not available.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4.6-liter V8 with RWD is rated at 15 mpg city, 19 highway, and 16 combined, while the 5.7-liter V8 with RWD can achieve up to 13 mpg city, 18 highway, and 15 combined.

Which 2019 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2019 Toyota Tundra is offered in 6 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already includes a surprisingly strong safety suite plus useful work-truck features like the trailer-brake controller and damped tailgate. It makes the most sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the basic infotainment setup.
• SR5: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, traffic info, HD and satellite radio, foglights, and more convenience equipment without jumping into luxury pricing.
• Limited: This trim is the right step up if you want a more comfortable daily driver, thanks to leather front bucket seats with power, dual-zone climate control, and additional convenience features.
• Platinum: This is for you if you want a more upscale Tundra with heated and cooled front seats, driver memory, a JBL stereo, and more premium styling.
• 1794 Edition: This trim follows the same luxury path as the Platinum, but with its own styling character and the same high-end equipment set.
• TRD Pro: This is the one to choose if you want the most distinctive Tundra, with a revised suspension, off-road tires, Fox shocks, skid plate, and TRD-specific hardware and styling.

Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is unavailable on the base SR and the TRD Pro.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,540 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,167, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $33,930 sits slightly below last year's $34,750.

That kind of price movement suggests the Tundra is holding value reasonably well, but not appreciating in the current market. For a future seller, that means you should expect demand to remain steady rather than surge, especially if your truck has average mileage or visible wear.

The upside is that the Tundra’s reputation for durability and owner satisfaction helps support buyer interest over time. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than trucks with questionable history or heavy cosmetic wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.64/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2019 Toyota Tundra earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and three-star ratings in rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests. IIHS testing also shows mixed results, with Marginal ratings for the headlights and driver-side small overlap front test, a Poor rating in the passenger-side small overlap front test, and Acceptable roof strength.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota’s standard safety suite includes adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a drowsiness monitor. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is standard on most trims, but it is not available on the base SR or the TRD Pro.

The main caveat is that some of these systems feel dated and can be overly intrusive at times. That means you get a solid standard safety package, but not the most polished execution in the class.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 brings back the TRD Pro trim with a revised suspension and new BBS wheels.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $36,657, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $33,930 average.
• It emphasizes long-term reliability even more strongly.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because prices have eased and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year and are prioritizing long-term dependability, the 2020 is the cleaner alternative.
