Used 2019 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2019 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 4.02% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,612 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used Tundras to compare.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Toyota Tundra earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners consistently point to its solid, reliable character, along with plenty of space and comfort. They also praise its powerful performance and towing capability, and many appreciate the luxurious ride.

The trade-offs are clear: the truck’s technology feels outdated, especially the navigation system, and fuel economy could be better. That fits the Tundra’s use case as a straightforward, proven full-size pickup for you if you value familiarity and capability over the latest tech.

With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback describes the Tundra as reliable, solid, and trouble-free, with drivers often emphasizing its dependable nature and long-term appeal. The expert evaluation also highlights its broad, predictable V8 power delivery and durability, which supports the truck’s reputation for being easy to count on.

The cost-effectiveness assessment also notes that the Tundra’s off-road-focused TRD Pro offers a lot of fun and utility for the money. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related wear and outdated systems may matter more than the truck’s core mechanical toughness.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

At 60.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, frame condition, and signs of prior repair. Because the truck’s technology and ergonomics are already dated, condition matters even more when you’re comparing similar listings.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SR brings a surprisingly strong equipment list, including heated mirrors, a windshield wiper de-icer, a damped tailgate, an integrated trailer-brake controller, and a safety suite with forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, and auto high beams. Higher trims add navigation, traffic info, leather, dual-zone climate control, luxury features, and the TRD Pro’s revised suspension and off-road hardware.
• Powertrain: You get two V8 choices paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 4.6-liter V8 makes 310 hp and 327 lb-ft of torque, while the larger 5.7-liter V8 adds more power and towing capability.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense features are standard, including forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a drowsiness monitor. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is not standard on the base SR or TRD Pro.
• Infotainment: The base truck uses a 6.1-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth and a 6-speaker stereo with a CD player. Higher trims move to a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and traffic info, but Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not available.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4.6-liter V8 with rear-wheel drive returns an EPA-estimated 15 mpg city and 19 highway. The larger 5.7-liter V8 can deliver up to 13 mpg city and 18 highway with rear-wheel drive.

Which 2019 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2019 Toyota Tundra is offered in 6 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and a surprisingly complete standard safety and convenience package. It gives you the essentials, but you give up navigation, some comfort features, and blind-spot monitoring.
• SR5: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a better infotainment setup with a 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, traffic info, HD and satellite radio, foglights, and variable-intermittent wipers.
• Limited: Choose this if you want a more upscale cabin with leather front bucket seats, power adjustments, dual-zone automatic climate control, auto headlights, and more convenience features.
• Platinum: This trim is for you if you want luxury touches such as a sunroof, heated and cooled front seats with driver memory, an upgraded JBL stereo, and LED daytime running lights.
• 1794 Edition: This is the style-focused luxury choice, sharing much of the Platinum’s upscale equipment while adding its own unique styling.
• TRD Pro: Pick this if you want the most off-road-focused version, with a raised suspension, off-road tires, forged BBS wheels, Fox shocks, a skid plate, and TRD-specific hardware.

Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is unavailable on the base SR and TRD Pro, so check that feature carefully if it matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Tundra?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,612 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.02% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,112, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $33,112 sits slightly below last year's $34,499.

That softer pricing suggests the Tundra has become a bit more buyer-friendly in the used market, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, it also means you may need to lean on condition, trim, and equipment to justify a stronger asking price.

The truck’s reputation for reliability and its loyal buyer base should continue to support demand. Even so, age, fuel economy, and outdated technology can limit how quickly some shoppers are willing to pay up.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2019 Toyota Tundra earns four-star ratings in frontal crash tests and three-star ratings for rollover from NHTSA, while side crash tests earn five-star ratings.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota makes a strong case for standard driver assistance here, with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a drowsiness monitor. Blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert is also available, though not on the base SR or TRD Pro.

The caveat is that the safety tech is dated and can be intrusive at times, and IIHS results include Marginal ratings for the headlights and driver-side small overlap front test, plus a Poor rating in the passenger-side small overlap front test.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 brings back the TRD Pro with a revised suspension and new BBS wheels.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $35,995, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $33,112 average.
• It emphasizes long-term reliability even more strongly, while also being described as uncompetitive in several areas.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year, the 2020 is the better path for buyers who prioritize long-term dependability above all else.
