2019 Toyota Corolla

The current Toyota Corolla has been on the market since 2014, making it among the oldest compact sedans in the class. That said, Toyota has managed to keep it a competitive option. For 2019, there are no major updates.
The only engine available on the 2019 Corolla remains a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. It’s available as either a manual or a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT) that can mimic a manual transmission with predefined ratios. Fuel economy ratings stand as high as 28 city, 36 highway, and 32 combined.
There are five versatile trims for the Corolla. The L trim kicks things off with Bi-LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, 15-inch steel wheels, and Entune Audio.
The LE trim adds automatic climate control, a pollen filter, push-button controls, and color-keyed heated mirrors. The LE Premium Package adds Entune Audio Plus, which includes a 7-inch touchscreen LCD, six speakers, USB connectivity, Bluetooth streaming, XM radio, and Siri EyesFree. There is also a moonroof available.
The XLE trim comes with such niceties as 16-inch machined alloy wheels with dark accents, a leather-trimmed steering wheel with auxiliary controls, a moonroof, and keyless entry and start. Select the Entune Premium Audio package, and you’ll get everything from the LE Premium Package, plus navigation with traffic and weather functionalities.
On the sportier end of things, the SE trim is similar to the LE trim, but spices things up with 17-inch machined alloy wheels with black accents, unique front and rear bumpers, lowered side-skirts, a sport instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch color LCD, and a special front fascia that includes a gloss-black mesh grille. The SE Premium Package adds the same equipment as the LE Premium Package plus a moonroof, chrome lower window trim, an ECO mode, and a roof-mounted antenna.
The XSE trim builds upon that with leatherette seats, a moonroof, keyless access and start. The Entune Premium Audio Package from the XLE trim is also available on the XSE trim.
A reversing camera and Toyota Safety Sense comes standard on every 2019 Corolla. The latter includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the Corolla its Top Safety Pick designation in 2018.
It’s become difficult for the Corolla to hide its age as newer, more-exciting competitors hit the market. The company has previewed a bit of what we’ll see on the next Corolla sedan with the all-new Corolla Hatch. Look to that model if you want more up-to-date styling, features and equipment. Otherwise, the 2019 Corolla remains a solid and worthwhile choice.

Review
by Guru9Y2NZ6This car is a solid purchase. The added safety features such as Toyota safety sense to prevent lane drift and adaptive cruise control make this an even more desirable model. This car is a perfect fit for my driving needs. -

by Guru95SVV4Love this color, love all of the features. Corolla is a very safe car that did its job when I had my accident. It is a great car for a single person or an older couple without small children. -
Review
by Louiseso far, so good, have only driven it a few days, I feel it was overpriced though as many 2019 leases are currently available for almost the same price
