Used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD for Sale near Chicago, IL

Chevrolet is currently preparing to release a new version of its Silverado 1500 half-ton pickup truck for 2019. Traditionally, the bigger trucks follow the half-ton with a comprehensive redesign a year or two later. So, for 2019, the top-dog Silverado 3500HD continues on with no major changes. As before, it’s offered in Regular, Double and Crew Cab configurations, and either a 6.5-foot or an 8-foot bed. The base setup for the Silverado 3500HD consists of a 6.0-liter V8 engine with 380 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque, hooked up to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can choose to spec this engine with the ability to run on compressed natural gas or liquid propane gas. Models equipped with the longer 8-foot bed can be equipped with dual rear wheels on each side. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is the default configuration, but full four-wheel-drive (4WD) with a two-speed transfer case is available. With the right options, the gasoline engine can pull up to 14,500 lbs. The star of the show, however, is the 6.6-liter turbocharged diesel V8, which makes 445 hp and 910 lb-ft. It comes with an uprated 6-speed automatic transmission, an engine block heater, and an exhaust brake. As with the gasoline engine, the diesel engine can be equipped with single or dual rear wheels, and RWD or 4WD. In its best configuration, the diesel engine can trailer as many as 23,100 lbs. Chevrolet offers the Silverado 3500HD in four distinct grades: WT, LT, LTZ, and High Country. WT kicks things off with a trailering suspension, a trailering equipment package, vinyl or cloth seating, heavy-duty brakes, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. LT makes the cloth upholstery standard and adds the EZ Lift and Lower Tailgate, satellite radio, a 4.2-inch color instrument panel LCD, an upgraded 8-inch infotainment system, and body-color mirror caps and door handles. LTZ is where things start to get nice, bundling heated front leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, a 110-volt power outlet, a power-sliding rear window with defroster, and chrome exterior appointments. High Country finishes things off with 17- or 18-inch chrome wheels, body-color front and rear bumpers, 6-inch chrome assist steps, a unique grille, heated and cooled front seats, front and rear parking sensors, a spray-in bedliner, a Bose premium audio system, a center floor console, and navigation. On the safety front, the Silverado 3500HD comes with standard stability control, 6 airbags, a reversing camera, and Teen Driver; the latter system allows parents to monitor their children’s driving habits and set limitations on the vehicle. Rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, forward-collision alert, and a safety alert seat are all extra-cost options.
