How much does the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD cost?

There are 659 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the overview backs that up with a clear focus on serious work capability, a roomy cabin, and a softer, quieter ride than you might expect from a truck this large. You also get a heavy-duty chassis, strong towing and payload numbers, and enough comfort in higher trims to make it usable beyond job-site duty. With 31.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes it as a durable heavy-duty truck with the kind of capability and confidence that matter when you plan to use it hard. Its appeal comes from strength, practicality, and a work-focused design rather than luxury, which is often what you want in a truck built for demanding ownership. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is finding a truck that has been worked hard, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

At 69.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage affected the frame, suspension, or towing hardware. Put inspection priority on signs of heavy use, especially if the truck was used for hauling or towing regularly. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the truck still feels tight and well cared for under load.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 659 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,854, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD's resale value?

The current average of $40,237 sits slightly below last year's $43,305.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the truck in strong condition so you can stand out when it is time to list it. Heavy-duty trucks with broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction tend to hold buyer interest better than more niche vehicles.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a heavy-duty truck with strong capability, a roomy cabin, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room, the 2019 is a sensible primary choice. If your priority is finding the lowest possible entry price, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price.
