Used 2017 Ford Taurus for Sale nearAlexandria, VA

How much does the 2017 Ford Taurus cost?

Prices have softened 11.01% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 477 listings available, which suggests a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Ford Taurus a good car?

Generally — the 2017 Ford Taurus earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort and style, and many also like its strong performance, especially in SHO form. The Taurus also appeals if you want a full-size sedan with space and a broad range of powertrain choices, though some shoppers note cramped interior space and awkward touchscreen controls. With 27.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Ford Taurus reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable and comfortable over time, with enough positive sentiment around ownership to support confidence in a used example. At the same time, you should pay close attention to any signs of coolant-related trouble, since that concern comes up in owner feedback. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a car with unresolved maintenance or cooling-system issues, so condition and service history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Ford Taurus?

At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on body condition, cooling-system health, and signs of uneven wear or poor repairs. Because the Taurus can be a comfortable long-term sedan when maintained well, you want to prioritize examples with clean records and consistent upkeep.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Ford Taurus?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 477 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,712, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Ford Taurus's resale value?

The current average of $10,712 sits slightly below last year's $12,037.

That price movement suggests the Taurus has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the range and keep the car in strong condition, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss later. Demand should also benefit from the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal as a roomy full-size sedan.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Taurus or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the better pick if you want a well-liked Taurus with a softer price trend and enough inventory to shop carefully. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2017 offers a strong balance of value, owner satisfaction, and market availability.
