Why it stands out
The 2016 Toyota 4Runner distinguishes itself as one of the few remaining true SUVs that excels in off-road situations. It accommodates those who need serious capability and ruggedness rather than the smooth, cushy ride of a crossover. Highlighting its strengths, the 4Runner offers significant towing capabilities, reliable performance, and a comfortable ride for its passengers. Notably, this model features a 4.0-liter V6 engine that delivers a respectable 270 horsepower, paired with advanced off-road technologies like crawl-speed control and a locking rear differential. These elements position the 4Runner as a stalwart in a category where competitors increasingly lean toward on-road comfort and fuel efficiency. While it may fall short in modern amenities such as advanced safety features and infotainment systems, the 4Runner's solid build and impressive resale value keep it a favorite among off-road enthusiasts and families alike.

This is a solid vehicle. There are some minor issues that are all covered under the extended warranty except a broken taillight. The entire light assembly is 129$ and extremely easy to replace. The inside looks like its barely been used at 97k miles. Engine sounds good and the power is immediate when you touch the pedal.
