Is the 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty a good car?

Generally — the 4.2/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its towing capability, strong power, and overall durability, and they also value the comfortable, spacious interior for both work and everyday use. That lines up well with this truck’s role as a heavy-duty pickup that can still feel reasonably livable when you need it for more than just jobsite duty. With 29.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as durable and dependable, with praise centered on its ability to handle hard use while still delivering a comfortable cabin. The owner feedback also suggests it can be a truck you count on for both work and daily driving, which matters a lot in a heavy-duty model. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a truck that may have been worked hard still has the maintenance history and condition to match its reputation.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on suspension, towing-related hardware, and signs of heavy-duty use. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a truck like this can vary a lot depending on how it was used.

If you find a listing below $30,781, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $30,781 sits slightly below last year's $32,636.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. Even so, a truck with strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal among heavy-duty buyers should still hold attention well if it’s clean, well maintained, and properly equipped. Condition and history will matter a lot when you eventually sell, especially because buyers in this segment are often comparing trucks closely on use history and upkeep.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want a heavy-duty truck with proven capability, good owner satisfaction, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
