What’s New for the 2027 Ford F-350 Super Duty
The F-350 Super Duty gets only minor updates for 2027. The off-road-oriented Tremor package is now available for the base XL trim with the STX Appearance package and with the Crew Cab long-box body style. An XL Off-Road 35-inch Tire package adds 35-inch off-road tires (LT285/75R18s), a higher ride height, an electronic-locking rear differential, a limited-slip front differential, performance shocks, a full-size spare tire, Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, Rock Crawl mode, and skid plates for the transfer case and fuel tank.
The top Platinum trim is available for the F-350 chassis cab, and a Super Duty Proud To Honor appearance package adds dark exterior accents, black wheels, and red, white, and blue exterior graphics. There's also a new Carhartt package that adds a dark grille, unique 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, off-road running boards, a spray-in bedliner with the Carhartt logo, LED fog lamps and reflector lamps, LED roof markers and clearance lamps, an LED high-mounted stoplight, and Carhartt graphics on fender vents, doors, and tailgate. Inside, it has Carhartt-inspired unique cloth seats with triple stitching, a wrapped steering wheel with accent stitching, and floor mats inspired by Carhartt’s latest tool bags.
Design
Ford offers the F-350 with three cab styles, two bed lengths, single or dual rear wheels, and a bedless chassis cab configuration. The regular cab comes with an 8-foot bed, while the extended-cab Super Cab and Crew Cab get the 8-foot bed or a 6-foot-8-inch bed. The chassis cab, which can be ordered only through Ford fleet dealers, has no bed at all. All body styles sit tall and upright, with a blunt nose and a wide grille bracketed by C-shaped light signatures. Side vents sit behind the front wheels, retractable bed steps are found in front of the rear wheels, and dually body styles have widely flared rear fenders. Ford sets it all on 17- to 20-inch wheels that are either steel or alloy, depending on the trim level. Steps adorn the corners of the rear bumper, and the tailgate has an integrated step that pulls out, tilts down, and has a stand-up handle for support when people climb in. The bed is offered with spray-in or drop-in bedliners, a mat, hard or soft tonneau covers, and LED lighting.
Powertrain
Ford offers the F-350 Super Duty with a gasoline 7.3-liter V8 that makes 420 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. For those who need to tow heavier loads, there is a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8 that produces 500 hp and a stump-pulling 1,200 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, and four-wheel drive with low-range gearing is optional. All F-350s have a 10-speed automatic transmission, but Ford offers a heavy-duty version for better towing capability.
The F-350 can tow up to 19,500 pounds with the gas V8 on a standard trailer hitch and single rear wheels. Towing improves to 22,000 pounds with dual rear wheels, 22,400 pounds with a fifth wheel, and 22,500 pounds with a gooseneck. With the diesel engine and a conventional hitch, the F-350 can tow 25,000 pounds with single rear wheels and 28,000 pounds with dual rear wheels. The diesel’s figures improve to 35,000 pounds with a fifth wheel and 38,000 pounds with a gooseneck.
The aforementioned XL Off-Road 35-inch Tire package gives it real overlanding capability—as does the Tremor package. The Tremor gets a 4.30 electronic-locking axle ratio with the gas engine and a 3.55 ratio with the diesel, 35-inch off-road tires, a ride-height increase, unique front springs, an electronic-locking rear differential, a limited-slip front differential, performance shocks, off-road running boards, unique front air dams, skid plates for the transfer case and fuel tank, water fording vent tubes for the transfer case and rear axle, and Rock Crawl and Trail Control modes. A Warn winch is also available.

Interior
The F-350 seats two or three as a regular cab and five or six in its Super Cab and Crew Cab configurations. In its base form, the F-350 is pretty spartan. It has vinyl upholstery, a front bench seat, a urethane steering wheel, manual climate control, and manual seat adjustments. Higher-line models get upholstery in cloth, synthetic leather, or leather, along with power-adjustable front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and power-adjustable pedals.
Technology
The F-350 comes standard with a 4.2-inch digital information center, an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a four-speaker audio system for the regular cab and a six-speaker system otherwise. Moving up the trim ladder brings a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, navigation, wireless phone charging, a head-up display, upfitter switches, and eight-speaker or 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio systems. Also standard are Ford Pro Telematics, Ford Data Services, and a Ford Connectivity package. Ford Pro Telematics and Data Services help fleets with geofencing, driver monitoring, vehicle GPS tracking, dashcams, and vehicle health tracking. The Ford Connectivity package has a Wi-Fi hotspot for a year and buyers can also choose a seven-year version. Also available is a Ford Pro Power Onboard feature that acts as a generator to power 120-volt outlets in the bed.
