How much does the 2016 Audi A5 cost?

Prices have softened 1.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 164 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Audi A5 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the 2016 Audi A5 backs that up with a stylish luxury-coupe layout, a premium cabin, and sporty character. It was designed to give you a more distinctive feel than a conventional sedan, while still offering the confidence of quattro all-wheel drive and a refined interior.

The tradeoff is that you’re choosing style and premium feel over maximum practicality, since coupe packaging limits everyday versatility compared with more conventional body styles. Even so, if you want a handsome luxury car with a premium interior and a more engaging personality, this model year fits that brief well.

Market availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2016 Audi A5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Audi A5 is described as a premium, well-equipped coupe with a refined cabin and the kind of all-wheel-drive confidence that helps it feel secure in daily use. Its first-generation formula had already matured by this point, which can be reassuring if you want a used luxury car that feels established rather than experimental.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained carefully, since condition and history matter a lot more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi A5?

At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear that could point to past repairs or neglect.

Because this is a luxury coupe, you’ll also want to focus on how well the interior, electronics, and exterior trim have held up. A clean-looking car with a strong service history is usually the safer buy than one that simply looks good in photos.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi A5?

If you find a listing below $13,162, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi A5's resale value?

The current average of $13,991 sits slightly below last year's $14,187.

That softer pricing suggests the model is in a market where buyers have some leverage, which can make it easier for you to buy well now. For a future seller, that also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained.

Because the A5 is a style-driven luxury coupe, clean examples with strong presentation should remain easier to move than neglected ones. If you keep the car in good shape, you’ll be better positioned when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Audi A5 makes the most sense if you want the classic first-generation formula with a premium cabin, sporty styling, and a market that still offers some deal potential. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
