Is the 2016 Audi A5 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Audi A5 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a stylish luxury coupe with a premium feel and genuinely sporty character, plus refreshed exterior styling and Audi Connect Wi-Fi connectivity that help it feel more modern than many rivals of its era. Is the 2016 Audi A5 reliable?

The overview suggests a car that combines premium feel, sporty character, and practical touches without losing its upscale appeal. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s core appeal and more about finding one that has been maintained well and still feels fresh enough in its technology and interior condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi A5?

At 54.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for body condition, panel alignment, and signs of wear that could be more noticeable on a premium coupe. Because the A5 is a style- and feel-driven car, you’ll want to focus on overall condition as much as mileage and equipment.

What is the 2016 Audi A5's resale value?

The current average of $14,000 sits slightly below last year's $14,666.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The model’s premium image and sporty appeal should still help it attract interest from shoppers looking for a stylish used coupe.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the refreshed first-generation A5 with modernized styling and a premium, sporty feel. If your priority is finding the lowest possible entry price, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 offers a compelling balance of appeal, usability, and market value.
