What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Sienna?

At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has been used heavily for family hauling. Focus on signs of prior body damage, suspension wear, and any issues around the lower bodywork, since owner feedback points to those areas as potential concerns. If you’re comparing multiple listings, condition should matter as much as price because the market includes a mix of clean and previously damaged vehicles.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Limited stands out for its richer equipment, including power sliding doors, power folding third-row seats, front and rear sunroofs, navigation, and a rear-seat entertainment system, while lower trims miss some of those luxury and convenience features.
• Powertrain: The 3.5-liter V6 delivers 266 hp through a 6-speed automatic, with smooth acceleration and available all-wheel drive for added traction.
• Safety package: The available suite includes blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, dynamic radar cruise control, Pre-Collision System, and Safety Connect on the Limited.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 7-inch display, includes a premium JBL audio system, supports connectivity apps, and adds advanced voice recognition, USB 2.0 fast-charge ports, and HD traffic and weather overlays.
• Fuel efficiency: The Sienna is rated at 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, with an average of 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2015 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2015 Toyota Sienna is offered in 1 trim level: Limited.

Here's the short version:

The Limited is the trim to target if you want the most complete version of this Sienna, especially because it layers in the strongest comfort, convenience, and tech content. It suits you best if you want a family hauler that feels fully equipped rather than merely functional. The safety package is strong, but Safety Connect is reserved for the Limited.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,078 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,728, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $15,506 sits slightly above last year's $15,369.

That small increase suggests the Sienna has held value fairly well rather than sliding sharply. For a future seller, that kind of stability is helpful because it points to steady buyer interest and less risk of a sudden price drop. If you keep the van in clean condition and maintain it well, you’re more likely to stay near the stronger end of the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2015 Sienna earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with top scores in all parameters.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota equips the Sienna with blind-spot monitoring, cross-traffic alert, dynamic radar cruise control, Pre-Collision System, and Safety Connect on the Limited. The main caveat is that Safety Connect is reserved for the most expensive trim, and IIHS noted an Acceptable result in small-overlap frontal-crash protection.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings major safety and tech upgrades that make it the strongest Sienna of this generation.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $12,988, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $15,506 average.
• It’s a practical, utility-first minivan with especially roomy second-row seating.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $17,656, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $15,506 average.
• It adds Siri Eyes Free and a broader tech-focused appeal for iPhone users.

The bottom line: If you want the best-balanced choice, the 2015 is the one to target because it combines strong safety, good tech, and solid owner satisfaction at a still-reasonable used price. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2014 can save you money, but you give up some of the 2015’s key upgrades.

How does the 2015 Toyota Sienna compare to the 2015 Honda Odyssey?

Our experts score the 2015 Toyota Sienna 8.5/10 and the 2015 Honda Odyssey 7.5/10. The Sienna brings the stronger expert score, a higher average used price, and a broader set of upgrades for 2015. The Odyssey is cheaper on the used market and has slightly better fuel economy figures, but the Sienna’s safety and technology advantages make it the more compelling all-around pick if you want the more improved minivan.
