What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Toyota Sienna?

At 54.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Because this is a family-focused minivan, you also want to make sure the cabin features and safety systems work as advertised.

Key things to evaluate:

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable rather than volatile, which is helpful if you plan to resell later. Even so, the overall safety package is a major strength for used shoppers.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert testing says it is the best version of the Sienna yet, with major safety improvements.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $12,811, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $15,235 average.
• It emphasizes utility and passenger comfort.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $17,537, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $15,235 average.
• It adds Siri Eyes Free for iPhone users.

The bottom line: The 2015 is the strongest all-around choice if you want the best mix of value, safety, and features. If your budget is tighter, the 2014 can save you money, but you give up some of the 2015’s polish and safety progress.
