How much does the 2014 Toyota Tacoma cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,125 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2014 Toyota Tacoma a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its reliability, power, and resale value, and many also like its solid handling and safety features. For you, that means this truck fits well if you want a midsize pickup that balances daily drivability with utility and off-road capability. With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Toyota Tacoma reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly highlights reliability, and the model is also described as dependable and a truck people can count on over time. That kind of reputation matters if you plan to keep your used truck for the long haul, because it suggests lower ownership anxiety and stronger confidence in day-to-day use. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying too much for a truck that has been worked hard or poorly maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Toyota Tacoma?

At 60.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can screen for accidents, title issues, and ownership patterns before you get too far along. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing, off-road driving, or heavy work. Focus your condition check on signs of wear in the interior, suspension, and body, since those areas can reveal how hard the truck has been used.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Toyota Tacoma?

This is a moderate market, so you can buy now if the right truck appears, but you should still compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,125 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,484, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Toyota Tacoma's resale value?

The current average of $19,169 sits slightly above last year's $19,011.

That small increase suggests the Tacoma continues to hold value well, which is useful if you expect to sell or trade it later. Stable pricing also tells you the market is still willing to pay for this truck's reputation and utility. If you buy carefully, you may be able to preserve more of your purchase price than you would with a less in-demand pickup.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Tacoma or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $20,223, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $19,169 average.
• It adds a limited-production TRD Pro trim focused on off-road capability.

The bottom line: If you want the better value and broader shopping pool, the 2014 is the stronger starting point. If you care more about a more off-road-focused setup and are willing to pay more, the 2015 is the better alternative. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2014 gives you the more approachable entry point without giving up the Tacoma's core appeal.
