Test drove one and its comfortable as the Ford Fusion, has the leg space for taller folks in the rear. The trunk space is adequate enough to fit 4 large duffel bags flat + 1 on top of those so if youre planning a trip and have a lot of goodies, you dont need a roof rack to transfer them ( unless you have something more than 4 ft, like fishing rods or tripods etc ). Ride is good and absorbs bumps well. The cars roll isnt hard when turning at speed and it can do 15 to 55 in a great amount of time when you need to accelerate going onto the highway. I would say if youre looking for used, at a great price, dont hesitate to purchase one! Test drive it first a few times to get a feel. And if it fits like a glove, I say go for it!

handles well, does great on gas, nice leather interior, touch screen, bluetooth, power seat for driver, quiet engine. Nice vehicle for families that are large or small. I enjoy the comfort and feel of the vehicle. Nice tint to keep the inside slightly cooler. Ample trunk space for packing and traveling

2014 Toyota Camry Price Trends
CarGurus tracks the prices of millions of used car listings every year. See how the average price of 2014 Toyota Camry prices has changed over time.
See more price trendsHow much does the 2014 Toyota Camry cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $11,867 |
| Year-Round Low | $11,392.75 |
| Year-Round High | $12,013.06 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $11,571 |
| Change vs. Last Year | +2.56% |
Prices are up 2.56% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.
There are 1,496 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
If you find a listing below $11,392.75, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2014 Toyota Camry a good car?
Generally — the 2014 Toyota Camry earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.
Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and fuel efficiency, and they also call out the spacious trunk and smooth ride. That lines up with the Camry’s role as a practical family and commuter sedan, where easy ownership matters more than excitement. The overall market also shows 29.1% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive buys if you shop carefully.
Is the 2014 Toyota Camry reliable?
Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
In owner feedback, you’ll see repeated praise for reliability, dependability, and the sense that the car is a good value for money. The expert review also emphasizes that the Camry is built around simple, sensible, affordable transportation, with low ownership costs and free scheduled maintenance for the first two years or 25,000 miles. That combination points to a car you can count on, especially if you want predictable day-to-day use rather than a high-drama ownership experience.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is buying a neglected example, so service records and condition matter more than the badge.
What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Toyota Camry?
At 45.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the price looks unusually strong. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim you’re considering. Because this model year spans different equipment levels, it’s worth checking that the features you expect are actually present on the specific car you’re viewing.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The Camry lineup ranges from basic to more upscale versions, and the lower trims leave out conveniences such as automatic headlights, power door locks with remote keyless entry, and other comfort upgrades.
- Powertrain: You can choose between a 178-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder and an optional 3.5-liter V6; the 4-cylinder is rated at 28 mpg combined, while the V6 is rated at 25 mpg combined.
- Safety package: Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are available on select trims, while Safety Connect is limited to the XLE and Hybrid XLE.
- Infotainment: Entune is the main touchscreen system, and higher trims can add Entune Audio Plus, Entune premium audio, navigation, and app-based features.
- Fuel efficiency: The Camry Hybrid is rated at about 40 mpg combined, the 4-cylinder Camry SE is rated at 28 mpg combined, and the V6 is rated at 25 mpg combined.
Which 2014 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?
The 2014 Toyota Camry is offered in 6 trim levels: L, LE, XLE, SE, Hybrid LE, Hybrid XLE.
Here's the short version:
- Base trim: The Camry L is the most stripped-down choice, with very limited upgrades and a plain setup that leaves out many convenience features.
- Sweet-spot trim: The Camry LE is the best value for most shoppers because it adds a fancier grille, automatic headlights, remote keyless entry, and available comfort and infotainment upgrades.
- Premium/top trim: The Camry XLE is the most upscale regular-gas choice, adding fog lights, extra chrome trim, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more standard comfort features.
- Off-road trim: The Camry SE is the sportier pick, but its firmer ride makes it less appealing if you want the smoothest daily commute.
Safety Connect is limited to the XLE and Hybrid XLE, while Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are available on the SE, XLE, and XLE Hybrid.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Toyota Camry?
This is a seller’s market, so you should shop selectively and move quickly when a strong listing appears.
- Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,496 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices are up 2.56% year-over-year.
- Clean inventory: 45.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $11,392.75, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Toyota Camry's resale value?
The current average of $11,867 sits slightly above last year's $11,571.
That upward move suggests the market still sees value in this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy well. A Camry that’s priced fairly today may hold its appeal better than many rivals because shoppers continue to prioritize low ownership costs and practicality. If you keep the car in good condition and maintain it properly, you’re more likely to preserve that value when it’s time to sell.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2014 Toyota Camry safe?
It earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA.
It earns a 8/10 safety score from our experts.
Toyota’s Safety Connect telematics system includes Roadside Assistance, SOS Emergency Assistance, Automatic Collision Notification, and a Stolen-Vehicle Locator, but it’s limited to the XLE and Hybrid XLE. Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are available on the SE, XLE, and XLE Hybrid, though not across the whole lineup. One important caveat is that models built before January 2014 were rated Poor in the small overlap frontal-impact test, so build date matters a lot here.
Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 45.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices are up 2.56% year-over-year.
- Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
- The 2014.5 update improves safety ratings and makes the car a stronger buy than earlier builds.
Consider the 2015 if:
- At $13,001, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,867 average.
- It adds more expressive styling and expanded infotainment and safety tech.
The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2014 if you want the lower entry price and a proven, practical sedan with strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for newer styling and added tech, the 2015 is the better upgrade path; if price matters most, the 2014 remains the smarter value play.
