How much does the 2014 Toyota Camry cost?

Is the 2014 Toyota Camry a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Toyota Camry earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and fuel efficiency, and they also call out the spacious trunk and smooth ride. The overview frames it as a sensible midsize family sedan that is easy to live with and broadly competent, which fits the recurring feedback well. For you, that means the Camry makes the most sense if you want practical everyday transportation rather than something flashy or especially engaging.

The market also shows 28.9% of listings as good or great deals, which points to decent value opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback repeatedly uses reliability-focused language, describing the Camry as reliable, dependable, and a car you can count on for commuting and traveling. The expert commentary reinforces that theme by calling it a cost-effective form of personal transportation that rates well in quality, dependability, and reliability studies. It also notes free scheduled maintenance for the first two years or 25,000 miles, which helps lower early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the car’s basic durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by age or prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2014 Toyota Camry?

At 45.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on condition, prior damage, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim you expect. Because some owners wished for additional features like a backup camera, it also helps to confirm which convenience and safety items are actually present before you buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Camry lineup includes the L, LE, XLE, and SE, and the base L is the most stripped-down version. The LE adds a fancier grille, automatic headlights, and remote keyless entry, while the XLE brings fog lights, extra chrome trim, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated outside mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more upscale cabin touches. The SE is the sportier choice with a sport suspension, paddle shifters, unique wheels, a body kit, and a rear spoiler.
• Powertrain: The Camry SE is offered with a 178-horsepower, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and an optional 3.5-liter V6. The 4-cylinder is the efficiency-minded choice, while the V6 delivers much stronger acceleration at the cost of fuel economy.
• Safety package: Toyota offers Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert on the SE, XLE, and XLE Hybrid. Safety Connect is limited to the XLE and Hybrid XLE, and the SE does not get it.
• Infotainment: Entune Audio Plus is available on higher trims, and Toyota also offers Entune premium audio, Entune App Suite, and navigation on select versions. The system is straightforward to use, though the content does not specify wireless smartphone integration or over-the-air updates.
• Fuel efficiency: The 4-cylinder SE is EPA-rated at 28 mpg combined, while the optional V6 is rated at 25 mpg combined. The V6 gives up 3 mpg in exchange for stronger performance.

Which 2014 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2014 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: L, LE, XLE, SE.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the most basic Camry, and it makes sense only if you want the lowest-frills way into the model. It is the least expensive path, but the content makes clear that most shoppers will prefer the LE for its broader color choices and added convenience features.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for most buyers. It adds a fancier grille, automatic headlights, and remote keyless entry, and it can be optioned with useful upgrades like an 8-way power driver’s seat, upgraded Entune Audio Plus, and a power sunroof.
• XLE: Choose this if you want the most comfort and upscale features without moving to the sportier SE. It adds fog lights, extra chrome trim, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated outside mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more premium interior details.
• SE: Pick this if you want the sportiest Camry. It gets a sport suspension, paddle shifters, unique wheels, a body kit, a rear spoiler, and a more aggressive look, but the firmer ride makes it less comfortable than the other trims.

Safety Connect is available only on the XLE and Hybrid XLE, while Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are offered on the SE, XLE, and XLE Hybrid.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop but still need to move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,527 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 45.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,344, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $11,707 sits slightly above last year's $11,634.

That small increase suggests the Camry’s used-market pricing has remained stable rather than volatile. For a future seller, that kind of steady pricing is helpful because it points to predictable demand and fewer sharp swings in value. The Camry’s reputation for value, dependability, and low ownership costs also supports its appeal when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2014 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2014.5 Toyota Camry earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota offers Blind-Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert on the SE, XLE, and XLE Hybrid, while Safety Connect with roadside assistance, SOS emergency assistance, automatic collision notification, and stolen-vehicle locator is limited to the XLE and Hybrid XLE. A key caveat is that Camry examples built before January 2014 are rated Poor in the IIHS small overlap frontal-impact test, so build date matters a lot here.

Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 45.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It offers simple, sensible, affordable, and safe transportation for the masses.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,110, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $11,707 average.
• It adds new styling, an upgraded interior, and expanded infotainment and safety technologies.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2014 is the smarter buy because it delivers the core Camry strengths at a lower price. If you can spend more and want a fresher-feeling cabin and more modern features, the 2015 is the better upgrade path.

How does the 2014 Toyota Camry compare to the 2014 Honda Accord?

Our experts score the 2014 Toyota Camry 7.5/10 and the 2014 Honda Accord 9.2/10.

The Accord comes out ahead overall, especially if you care about a stronger expert score and a slightly better deal profile. The Camry still makes sense if you want a lower average used price and a reputation for straightforward, practical ownership. The Accord also has the edge in listings available and accident-free share, while the Camry remains the more value-focused choice.
