Certified preowned (CPO) Subaru vehicles are subjected to a rigorous inspection process and must meet other criteria prior to being sold under the program:
• The vehicle must be from within the last 5 model years and have fewer than 80,000 miles • The Subaru must pass a 152-point inspection • There cannot be any major damage or collisions and the Carfax vehicle history report must be included
Warranties
Subaru offers two variations on a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, but the extended coverage starts at the vehicle’s original in-service date. This means that buyers of newer CPO vehicles will be able to enjoy coverage for a longer period of time compared to those that buy older ones.
Option 1: Classic
The Classic plan comes with Roadside Assistance and covers nearly 1,000 parts that span the engine, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, and other components. This warranty also includes towing and rental-car reimbursement if a breakdown occurs that is related to a covered part.
Option 2: Gold Plus
The Gold Plus plan includes everything from the Classic plan and adds hundreds of additional parts to the coverage list. The plan covers the same bumper-to-bumper items that the basic factory warranty does, and it excludes only a few parts of the vehicle. The Gold Plus plan also provides reimbursements for lodging and meals, includes computerized trip routing, travel assistance, and help locating a service center.
Subaru’s warranties have no deductible and are fully transferable to a subsequent owner of the vehicle.

Subaru offers 24/7 roadside assistance for all CPO vehicles that are still covered under warranty. This includes coverage for towing services.
Car Rental and Travel Assistance
You may be eligible for rental car coverage under the “Classic” warranty plan but lodging and travel assistance are only available to customers that purchased the “Gold Plus” plan.
Special Financing
Subaru offers special terms and rates for its CPO vehicles from time to time that sometimes beat special rates from competitors. Rates as low as 1.99% are available, and other promotions may apply at the time of purchase.
