2006 saturn vue 2.2 fwd. Transmission has reverse but no forward gears?? made no noise just quit working

Check the transmission fluid and if it smells burnt your transmission is toast. I thought there was a recall or something about these transmissions. What kind of transmission do you have? CVT , 4 speed or 6 speed?
