Have you checked the ignition system, ie plugs, wires. Is the check engine light on?

Plugs and wires are new last year. Goes on and off.

It could be a bad injector, I would recommend taking it to a shop you trust and have it checked out, you don't want to burn a piston or valve if it is too lean on one or two cylinders.

It runs fine over 2thousand RPM's but bucks when in over drive

Clean the throttle body, check for vacuum leaks? Since the CEL is on and off, scan for codes.

Get the codes pulled and go from there.

Possibly the o2 sensors. I had the same symptoms in an '89. Replaced the o2 sensors and the problem went away.

You may have a vacum leak at the intake replace intake gaskets and check or replace smog pump I have a 95 over a year and runs fine

In the meantime replace pcv valve and screen filter with intake remove hope it fix it
