will 225/65R 16 tires fit on a 95 mustang
65R might be too tall, choose a lower profile like 55, 50, or 45 on a bigger dia. rim like 17" on up. I think 50's on 17's would work & look cool. If you choose 18's then use 45's. The overall higth doesn't change just the side wall profile. 19's & 20's use 35's, see? The bigger the wheel the smaller the side wall profile.
Or, you can dent out a lot of sheetmetal
What, Dent out sheetmetal??? This is a girl !
What? Are you sexist? Don't you think a girl can do body work too? If she wants to do this then she will figure out what is best for the tire she selects. I figure any female that asks questions on Car Gurus probably is smart enough to figure out what it takes.
Wheel flairs on a Mustang, they have kits for that & just roll back the lip or radius the wheel arches a bit & mold or rivet on the flairs. Is she going racing? Seems like a lot of trouble for just bigger tires, keep it stock. So what's "dent-out" an improper term?
I used the term "dent out" but actually "Flair" would be the proper term. When I think of opening wheel wells, I either dent in the inner walls or dent out the outer walls. Of course, doing full body work to smooth out everything.
Oh OK. I'm an "old timer" too @ 65 with many years of American muscle car & foreign sports car experience. Retired now as an A. & P. / structural specialist, from almost 40 hrs. of wide body passenger, cargo, business jet, propeller, jet-prop, turbo jet, & fan jet experience.
I had an English sports car dealership in the 50's, 60's and 70's When I sold out and changed careers. Went into computers then. I will be 80 in may and just like to keep my brain sharp. That is why I like this site.
