I don't know about Subaru but Sirius dropping out is an ongoing problem, I have had them reset my unit and it's good for a day or two then right back into dropping signals. They say nothing is wrong but I really think they have lowered the signal wattage transmitted so even clouds interfere.

I have 2019 & 2022 Outback Premiums both w/ Sirus XM. The 2019 has NO PROBLEMS. The Satellite Radio on the 2022 fails to load between 30-50% of the time (just says, "Loading" until the vehicle is restarted). While is says "Loading" I can switch to AM, FM, USB, Bluetooth which all work, but when I switch back to Satellite Radio, it never stops "Loading". When the Satellite radio does work it usually takes 10-30-seconds before it starts playing, so if I want to listen to Satellite, I need to pull over, restart the car and either Wait to see if it works, or pull over and restart again. I performed a software update via WiFi and it did not resolve this problem. I also sent a Sirus Refresh signal 3-times and it had no effect.

Install the 2023 March update to the head unit. Fixes the Sirius issue

I have the same problem as “Needs a Hug”. Sirius goes silent and indicates “loading” sometimes with my ‘21 Outback XT. It’s a pain and can be a safety hazard as you focus on the radio while driving to see if you can correct it. This is a bad problem. Will soon quit the Sirius subscription if there is no correction.

I dropped Sirius subscriptions in both my vehicles due to poor signals from them. I believe your right about them cutting back on transmission power.

I had this same issue of "loading". I was recently at the dealer for service and asked about it.... There was an infotainment update from Subaru - the dealer applied it and I have NOT had the "loading" problem since. My Sirius works great now after suffering with the problem for about 18 months.
