Wont start fuel pump wont come on

My 1998 Pontiac firebird 3.8V-6 fuel pump is not coming on
when I turn the key on how do I check the fuel pump to find
out why it dont work please help me

There is a fuse that controls the flow of power to the pump. Check that first.
