Smoking from back of engine towards windshield

Asked by Caleb Jul 02, 2016 at 10:41 PM about the 1996 Ford Taurus LX Wagon

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My '96 Taurus wagon with the 3.0 duratec v6 DOHC
24v after I drive it maybe 15 miles and park it white
smoke starts coming from behind the engine
towards the windshield. I've fixed the oil leak.
Thought it could possibly be a coolant leak? Any
thoughts?

Yes an oil or coolant leak. If you cannot tell what it is just keep an eye on the oil level and the coolant level to see which one goes down.
