My 2001 Bonneville SLE is sporadically acting up. Suddenly the RPM's race/plummet and then it rides very rough & choppy. It seems like the transmission isn't shifting prroperly at that point.

you must get the diagnostics....fifteen dollar scanner...please post the results from this....granted the fuel pressure regulator will not issue a CODE and could be at must check the operation of this device and the vacuum goin' to it...make sure that it is still regulating the fuel to the fuel rail~


There are no codes, had that checked. Where exactly is the fuel pressure regulator and how do you check the operation of it?
