I have a 2002 firebird that the alarm won't let me start my car and won't stop going off Ive tried everything from resetting it any ideas on what it could be HELPPPPP!!!!!

thinking about taking the battery out and re connecting it maybe that might
reset it any ideas on what it could be

I would definitely try taking the battery out and reinstalling it after about an hour or two just to make sure there's no residual power in the system other than that make sure your keys are clean cuz they have a little chip in them and sometimes they can get dirty also make sure your ignition switch is clean where the key goes in sometimes It could have some dirt and you might want to take a Q-tip with alcohol and try to clean inside there don't get any of the Q-tip stuck in there that might be the problem too is that your key might not be making good contact.

This is a very common problem on GM vehicles. Basically when you insert your key, the system checks for certain OHMS resistance in that chip. If the system cannot get the correct signal from the key chip, it assumes the key is incorrect and goes into SECURITY lockout mode. (prevents hotwiring) This has been happening with GM's for a very long time. There are ways to bypass this now. Read through this page for info, solutions as well. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/
