gas fumes

1996 ford taurus with code p0430 but also bad gas fumes. smells like its
coming from under car  please help thank you

that code usually means you have a bad catalytic converter but also check for an exhaust leak that can also trigger that code.

Clearly an inspection is in order. Have it put up on a rack and look for gas or exhaust leaks.
