2003 Pontiac Montana Turn Signal Issues

Asked by chuckp20032003 Jan 23, 2013 at 08:18 PM about the 2003 Pontiac Montana Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 pontiac montana and my turn signals dont work. Everything else works, even the hazards, no turn signals. What can it be? There is a combination flasher unit under the dash, could that be bad? Does it make sense that it could be bad and the hazards still work?  I replaced the circuit board in the tail lamp on one side because the brake light was failing so I gained a brake light and lost turn signals altogether.

The Grand Am has a similar if not the same hazard/turn signal arrangement. The fix usually involves cleaning the contacts in the multi-function switch. Sometimes the hazard warning switch is replaced. Check out the threads on GAOwnersClub.com
