My low beam headlights both don't work but my high beams do, how do I get my low beams to work again?

Asked by celebrate1203 Sep 22, 2015 at 05:42 PM about the 2006 Pontiac Vibe Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 Pontiac Vibe and both of my low beam headlights went out at the same time. My high beams still work and so do the fog lights. I tried replacing the ACDelco D6253C GM Original Equipment Turn Signal, Headlamp, Headlamp Dimmer, and Fog Lamp Switch with Lever by the steering wheel but that was not the problem.
I tried new headlamps, a new headlight plug in and that wasn't the problem.
I'm going to try a new RY302 Relay fuse tonight. Not sure what slot to stick it in on the fuse box under the hood. Any ideas?
I'm at wits end.
Any other ideas on how to fix my problem?
Thanks much for your input!
Greatly appreciate it.

Sounds like a wiring issue to me. When this same condition existed on my Astre, it was due to a broken prong on one of the headlamps. Sounds like that is not the problem that you have, but the fact that the current was not being sent to the passenger side via a JUMPER WIRE, caused my issue. This may be your problem as well. I was able to fix it myself just by changing the lamp, which revealed the problem. Best of luck, Al.
