2006 pontiac reduced engine power

Asked by Pospontiac Nov 12, 2019 at 11:31 AM about the 2006 Pontiac G6 Base

Question type: General

I have a 2006 pontiac g6 2.4 4cyl and a week ago
on my way home it went into engine reduced
power mode and I couldn't go faster than 40 so I
made it home and parked it did some research and
it is probably the throttle body. OK so today a week
since the cars been started I drove it to my
mechanic and I was able to go as fast as I wanted
and there was no engine reduced power on my
display... Any idea why?

Check the engine code, that will guide you to where the problem is, even if the light was erased it it still stored in memory
