I learned a way to fix the a/c in three of my vehicles from a country boy. All three vehicles would blow hot air while it was on the maximum cold setting. I had them all diagnosed with low refrigerant. None got better after recharging. My friend told me that it' is most likely that the condenser and the radiator fins were plugged with bugs. I took my truck to the car wash to blast out all the bugs with high pressure water. This is done from the inside outward. When I drove to the car wash, I had to have the windows open and the heater on so as not to overheat the engine. After the cleaning, the truck blew super cold air. It also fixed the other two cars. I worked on cars for 30 + years and never heard about this fix. Worked great.
