My check engine light came on and started
flashing, then the car started shaking. What
could be wrong?

You need to find out what the check engine lights code is, that will give you someplace to start cause there are a lot of things that can go wrong and make your car run that way.

A flashing check engine light is warning you that the eng is misfiring and damaging the catalytic converter. You may just need a tune up. When was your last tune up done? HTH. -Jim
